Our Process
Initial Consultation
Every Richardson & Veale project begins with a visit to your home, where Caroline and Pippa take the time to understand you, your space, and what you would like to achieve. This first meeting is an opportunity to discuss your ideas and how you would like your interiors to feel.
We will explore what you are naturally drawn to - these could be particular colours and materials, specific decorative pieces, fabrics or references from everyday life that you love. At this stage we will also discuss your budget, practical requirements and the overall scope of the project.
The initial consultation is offered without charge and lasts up to two hours.
Design Development
Following our meeting, we will prepare a written summary outlining the proposed scope of work, together with our design and procurement fee proposal.
For each room, we create one or two initial schemes, developing the design through fabric suggestions, lighting ideas, colour palettes, furniture and finishes. Sample boards and material selections are provided to help you visualise how the scheme will come together.
Your feedback plays an important role as we refine the scheme and ensure every detail feels considered, cohesive and right for your home.
Procurement & Delivery
Once the design is approved, we manage the sourcing and purchasing of all items required for your project, including furniture, upholstery, window treatments, lighting, flooring, decorative pieces and antiques.
Working with our trusted network of suppliers, upholsterers, curtain makers and specialists, we oversee orders, monitor lead times and coordinate deliveries with you to ensure the process runs smoothly and efficiently.
